  • Big Tree Park

    Big Tree Park is named after the over 500 year old Southern Live Oak tree that dominates the site. This 0.7 acre park is nestled into the surrounding Lake Highland neighborhood and is shaded by the Big Tree's wide canopy. Benches in the shade make this small park the perfect quiet place to enjoy a good book.

  • Albert Park

    The half-acre park is used for workday lunches as well as planned special events. The gazebo stage is the centerpiece of the park, easily spotted from Edgewater Drive.

  • Al Coith Park

    Al Coith Park is a scenic park in the historic Cherokee neighborhood. The park is located across the street from the Mayor William Beardall Senior Center and adjacent to the more active Delaney Park. This 6.1-acre area provides beautiful scenery and passive recreation for the surrounding neighborhoods.

    56.37 park that provides both active and passive recreational amenities. Developed with the help of a $500,000 Florida Communities Trust grant, park users can enjoy the outdoors by hiking on the nature trail and boardwalk, fishing, picnicking, soccer and the playground.     Can be cold but there are crabs galore and beautiful views. No license required if fishing from the pier. Follow crabbing guidelines.

    Expansive beach. Great view of Monterey. Also a good place for surveys and hang gliders.

    Nice playground with structures for both older and younger children. Behind school. Picnic tables, lots of grass and bbqs.

    Aliso and Woods Canyon trail is paved for bikes, but great for walking.

    Jones Beach State Park is a world-class swimming destination. The park offers surf bathing along its 6.5 miles of ocean beach, one-half mile of bay beach for stillwater bathing, and two swimming pools.The west end of the park provides wonderful surf fishing, a boat basin and undeveloped areas that are home to a variety of migratory birds and native plants.
