Due to its complexity, the design of the sand play area seemed more reminiscent of a children's museum exhibit than a playground. Children could use the pulley system to move the sand up from the ground to the tower. In reverse, children used inclined pipes and different holes to funnel the sand down to the ground again (or into the blue and red wheelbarrow, dump trucks, or concrete mixer toys).
